Jesters’ and Fragments 2 Now at Tamarack
Hi Friends,
Good news - these two pieces are now a part of Tamarack’s 17th Annual Best of West Virginia Open Juried Exhibit!
Jesters’ color palette was inspired by the color of a steel bridge and the Japanese knotweed along our walking trail — proof that inspiration often comes from your surroundings, and at a time when your mind is relaxed. As the painting revealed itself, the name came to mind and influenced the final stage of painting.
Fragments 2 reminds me of the marks made in caves by ancient artists. It was a lot of fun trying to ‘tame’ this one, and it has a companion with similar effects.
The exhibit runs from May 30th-July 19th.
